Beef Stroganoff

I mentioned this meal in my post yesterday, so I thought I'd post the recipe for it today. If you like mushrooms, you may want to try adding 8 oz of sliced mushrooms to the recipe.

Beef Stroganoff
4-5 servings


1 lb. extra lean ground beef
seasonings to taste (I use pepper, salt, garlic powder)
1 cup chopped onion
15 oz jar of fat-free beef gravy
8 oz low-fat or fat-free sour cream
8 oz whole wheat egg noodles (this makes 4 servings of noodles)


Cook egg noodles as directed on package.

While noodles cook, cook meat and onions in a large, nonstick skillet until beef is browned, and onions are cooked. Drain and return to skillet. Add seasonings, gravy, and sour cream to skillet. Cook on medium heat until the mixture is heated thoroughly.

Pour meat mixture over a serving of cooked, drained noodles.
